This is to inform the general public and eligible candidates that Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University will commence registration for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Screening Exercise on Monday, 1st June 2026.

Candidates who chose KOMU as their First Choice Institution in the 2026 UTME or applied through Direct Entry are hereby invited to register for the Screening Exercise.

The following conditions apply:

1. APPLICATION PERIOD

• Application Opens: Monday, 1st June, 2026

• Application Closes: Friday, 31st July, 2026

2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

A. PROGRAMMES RESTRICTED TO FIRST-CHOICE CANDIDATES ONLY

Only candidates who selected KOMU as their First Choice Institution during the 2026 UTME registration are eligible to apply for admission into the following programmes:

• Medicine and Surgery

• Nursing Science

• Law

• Medical Laboratory Science

NOTE: Candidates who changed to KOMU as First Choice after the UTME registration will NOT be considered for admission into the above programmes.

B. ALL OTHER PROGRAMMES

Candidates who did not originally choose KOMU as their First Choice Institution during the 2026 UTME but scored a minimum of 150 and above are eligible to apply for admission into other programmes, provided they effect a change of institution to KOMU on the JAMB CAPS portal.

Admission into each programme shall be subject to meeting the minimum JAMB score requirement specified for that programme.

4. DIRECT ENTRY (DE) REQUIREMENTS

Direct Entry candidates must possess OND, HND, First Degree, or A’ Level qualifications in relevant disciplines, in addition to the compulsory five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects obtained at not more than two sittings.

5. NATURE OF THE SCREENING EXERCISE

The 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise shall be based on verified JAMB scores and O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB) uploaded on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

6. IMPORTANT NOTICES

a. Candidates should ensure that the details on their JAMB CAPS correspond with the information provided on the Post-UTME application portal (e.g., JAMB Registration Number, Name, Date of Birth, State of Origin, etc.).

b. Candidates must use valid mobile phone numbers and e-mail addresses for communication.

c. Candidates are required to upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS.

d. ONLY candidates who successfully complete and submit their applications online shall be considered for admission.

7. MODE OF PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₦2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only.

ONLINE REGISTRATION STEPS

1.   Visit the University website:
www.komu.edu.ng

2.   On the homepage (splash screen), click:
“Click here to register for our Post-UTME Admission Screening Form.”

Alternatively, under the “Online Application” section, click “Post-UTME Screening Form.”

3.   Click on “Click here to Apply.”

4.   Click on “Start Your Admission Process.”

5.   Click on “Start Application Process.”

6.   Fill out the application form completely and correctly.

7.   Click “Submit.”

8.   You will be directed to pay the Post-UTME/Direct Entry application fee of ₦2,000.00 only.

9.   On the Remita portal, an interface displaying your Name, Phone Number, E-mail Address, Reference Number (RRR), and Amount Payable will appear. If the details are correct, click “Submit.”

10.  Remita supports several payment channels including card payment, bank transfer, USSD, bank invoice, Remita wallet, and phone number payment. Select your preferred payment method and follow the prompts to complete payment.

8. PRINTING OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT SLIP

To print your acknowledgement slip:

1.   Visit:
KOMU Continue Previous Application Portal

2.   Enter your Application Number.

3.   Click on “Continue Application Process.”

4.   When Printing, enable Background graphics on the Print page so that your passports will be visible. Print and bring your acknowledgement slip to the University on the screening day.

9. IF YOU FORGOT YOUR APPLICATION NUMBER

Applicants who have forgotten their Application Number can retrieve their acknowledgement slip by following these steps:

1.   Visit the University website:

2.   Click on “Online Application.”

3.   Click on “Post-UTME Screening Form” and read the instructions carefully.

4.   Click on “Click here to Apply.”

5.   Click on “Continue Previous Admission Process.”

6.   Enter your JAMB Registration Number.

7.   Click on “Continue Application Process.”
