Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU), Ideato, Imo State, will host its 1st International Conference on Liberal Arts and Management Sciences, scheduled to take place from November 20th to 23rd, 2024. The conference is expected to attract scholars, practitioners, researchers postgraduate students from across the globe, with the theme, "Fostering Sub-Saharan Africa Development through Interdisciplinary Collaborations: Liberal Arts and Management Sciences."
The event will focus on addressing key business, economic, sociocultural developmental challenges facing Sub-Saharan Africa and how interdisciplinary approaches and collaboration across liberal arts and management sciences disciplines can foster sustainable solutions. Attendees will explore diverse sub-themes, including:
Political Economy and Governance
Social Justice and Human Rights
Cultural Diversity and Heritage
Business Innovation and Financial Stability
Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability
Artificial Intelligence and Financial Risk
Big Data and Business Analytics
Peace & Conflict Resolution
Entrepreneurship
And many others.
The conference will officially open on November 21st, 2024, following arrival and registration on November 20th, 2024, with events concluding on November 23rd, 2024. The venue for the event is the Senate Building at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University.
One of the event’s highlights will be the presence of His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma, the Executive Governor of Imo State, who will serve as the Special Guest of Honour. The conference will also feature insightful keynote addresses by renowned academics and industry leaders, including Prof. A.C. Ezirim from the Department of Marketing, University of Port Harcourt, and Prof. Ngozi Egbuna, Director of the International Trade Research Centre, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka.
Conference participation fees are set at N25,000 for paper presenters; N10,000 for attendants not presenting papers and postgraduate students; N5,000 for undergraduate students; and USD100 for international participants. Attendees are required to submit a 250-word abstract, following the APA 6th edition referencing style.
Certificates will be issued to all participants.
