Summary of Academic Profile:
Dr Charity Ogechukwu Anyaogu is a distinguished academic and lecturer in the Department of English and Literary Studies of Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato, Imo State, Nigeria. She hails from Ideato-North Local Government Area in Imo State.
Dr Anyaogu obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education/English from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She further advanced her education with a master’s degree in English Language in 2011 and PhD in English Language in 2021. All from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, demonstrating her continuous commitment to academic excellence and specialization in her field.
Dr Anyaogu is interested in pragmatics and has done some research work in that direction. She also has some books to her credit, contributing valuable knowledge and insights to the academic community.
She is a member of English Language Teachers Association of Nigeria (ELTAN), English Scholars Association of Nigeria (ESAN) and Pragmatists Association of Nigeria (PrAN).
In addition to her professional memberships, academic and research roles, Dr Anyaogu is the exam officer of the Department of English and Literary Studies. Dr Anyaogu was recognized for her dedication and commitment with the best Academic Staff Award from Goldsprings in 2016.
Dr Anyaogu is actively involved in community service, especially, through her work with Home and Abroad Women of Emmanuel Church, Akpulu, where she has led several women outreach, the most recent being the creation of awareness on the need to report any sign of breast cancer early.
Hobbies
Her hobbies include, but are not restricted to reading novels and writing. Besides, she derives pleasure from teaching, and helping others.
