BRIEF PROFILE:
Dr. Athanasius N. Nwokoro is a distinguished academic and lecturer in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University Ideató, Imo State Nigeria. He hails from Umuezeala Owerre in Ehime Mbano, Imo State.
Dr. Athanasius N. Nwokoro obtained his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics in 2003 and Master of Science (MSc Monetary Economics) in 2010 from the prestigious Abia State University and University of Port Harcourt respectively. He further obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD Development Economics) from Imo State University Owerri in 2016. He also has Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka.
Dr. Athan is a well groomed Monetary cum Development Economist. He has attended so many trainings, conferences and workshops and has published many academic and professional papers at high impact International Journals of repute.

Apart from other academic responsibilities and assignments, Dr Athan has served as the Chairman Committee on Ethics and Quality Assurance of Department of Economics. He also heads other sub-committees within the Faculty.
Dr. Athan rose to the rank of Director of Administration with Mathan Nig. Limited a famous indigenous company that is into Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Construction and General Services. He is also the Chairman/CEO Nasius Hochris Konsults Ltd.
Dr. Athan is a shrewd administrator and management consultant. He is a social commentator of repute, economic planning and development analyst. He is involved in so many community development events and that has earned him multiple awards including a Chieftaincy title as UGO MBA 1, (Eagle of the land) of ‘Mbano.
HOBBIES
The ANCIENT PROPHET as Dr. Athan is fondly called within the sociopolitical circle, is a gospel artiste and lover of music. He also plays table tennis so well. He is married with wonderful children.
