Dr. John Agomoh is an energetic and ambitious Scholar.

His advanced degrees are in Sociology/Environmental Resource Management and Sociology of Development from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Dr. John has conducted series of research published in both local and international peer review journals. His extensive research work is mainly in areas of Sociology of Development, Sociology/Environmental Resource, and has been instrumental to series of innovations in sectors.

He has successfully participated in TETFUND awarded projects, Currently is the collaboration in the 2017-2022 (MERGED) TETFUND institution based research (IBR) Project, for the Project: Girl Child Resilient Strategies: Unravelling the challenges and the prospects in building the Girl chid resilience and Education in FCT, Abuja Nigeria, and also the 2020 (MERGED) TETFUND institution based research (IBR) Project on the Project: New Migrant Behaviours and Social Instability and how it reflects on migrant behaviours as manifest of conflict and stereotype on migrant’s social integration among indigenous ethnic groups in Nigeria.

He is a member of Nigerian Anthropological and Sociological Practitioners Association (NASA) and is currently the Deputy Director Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (DDAP) and also the current Acting Head Department of Sociology.
