Summary of Academic Profile:

Mr. Achazie Smart Chijioke is a distinguished academic and lecturer in the Department of English and Literary Studies at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato, Imo State, Nigeria. He hails from Obosima Autonomous Community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State.

Mr. Achazie Smart Chijioke obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Literary Studies from Imo State University, Owerri, in 2002. He further advanced his education with a master’s degree in Literature from Imo State University, Owerri in 2012. Currently, he is concluding his Ph.D programme in Literature also from Imo State University, Owerri showing his continuous commitment to academic excellence and specialization in the area of his academic interest. 

Mr. Achazie has a robust academic and research profile, having attended various conferences and workshops where he has presented his works. He has published numerous journals in his academic field contributing valuable knowledge and insights to the academic community. He is interestingly committed to exploring the vast field of African Oral Literature. 

Membership of Professional Associations/Bodies

Belonging to numerous associations relative to his academic field of study, Achazie Smart Chijioke is also a committed member of Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA).

Achazie Smart Chijioke is presently the DICTO of the department of English and Literary Studies at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato. He is also the Class Adviser of the department Class Set of 2020-2021. These are in addition to other responsibilities he shoulders for the department. 

Achazie Smart Chijioke has received many awards both at the secondary and tertiary teaching levels following his commitment to his profession. 

Mr. Achazie is actively involved in community service, particularly through his work with the Special Marshalls of the Federal Road Safety Commission. He has also monitored Immunisation Services for the World Health Organisation (WHO). He is a revered community leader and currently representing his community in different capacities. He is also a committed Gospel Preacher in the vineyard of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Hobbies

Mr. Achazie is an avid reader of the Bible with spiritual insight.

He loves singing spiritual gospel songs and listening to edifying religious music.

Passionate meditation is also one of his hobbies among others
