Summary of Academic Profile:

Dr Praxede Chima Egeonu holds a B.Sc. in Government & Public Administration from Abia State University, Uturu in 1992, M.Sc. in International Affairs & Diplomacy and Ph.D. in International Relations & Diplomacy from Imo State University in 1997 and 2019, respectively.

He was a staff and two times Acting Head of Department of Public Administration, Madonna University Nigeria (2013-2016 and 2021-2023) and former adjunct staff of Department of International Relations of the same University before joining the services Department of Political Science, Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato.

Dr Egeonu’s area of research interest is in International Affairs and Foreign Policy. His contributions have inspired further research. He has published articles in learned journals, contributed chapters in edited books, attended conferences, workshops and authored and co-authored books. He has also been on the editorial boards of some academic journals.

Dr Egeonu is a member of Political Science Association of Nigeria and former Secretary, Democracy Resource Center Owerri, Nigeria. He has been engaged in community services and was the Assistant Secretary of his town union as well as a member of Amiyi-Akah Community Constitution Drafting Committee. His hobbies include watching and listening to local and international news as well as watching football and analysing sports and has bias in football commentaries.
