Summary of Academic Profile:

Emeka Francis Obi is a Lecturer in the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social and Management Sciences, of the Kingsley Ozumba (K.O.) Mbadiwe University, Ideato, Imo State, Nigeria. He obtained his first degree (B.Sc.) in Public Administration from the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State in 2012, where he graduated with a Second Class Honours (Upper Division). In 2017, he obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Public Administration from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, which was followed by a Doctor of Philosophy degree in the same discipline in 2023 from the same institution - Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

Dr. Emeka Obi’s research interest majored in public policy analysis, which was his area of specialisation at both masters and doctorate levels. He has published over a dozen research articles on various policy issues including electoral reforms, ICT in administration, disaster management, entrepreneurship, among others. Dr. Obi is also a member of notable professional bodies like the Nigerian Institute of Management, and the South East chapter of the Nigerian Political Science Association. 

Presently, Dr. Obi is the class adviser for the 2023/2024 admission set of students in the Department, and his hobbies are reading, writing, listening to music, and engaging in counselling sessions.
