KINGSLEY OZUMBA (KO) MBADIWE UNIVERSITY OGBOKO, IMO STATE CANCELS THE 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION AND COMMENCES THE 2021/2022 ACADEMIC SESSION ON SEPTEMBER 27, 2021
The Management of Kingsley Ozumba (KO) Mbadiwe University, Imo State Nigeria has cancelled the 2020/21 academic session. The cancellation was due to issues related to the COVID-19 Pandemic which affected the timely completion of the 2019/2020 academic session and its consequent spillover effects on the commencement and successful conclusion of the 2020/2021 Session.
Academic activities which were suspended due to the transition from the erstwhile Eastern Palm University to KO Mbadiwe University will now recommence in the 2021/2022 session.
Old students are expected to return to Campus on Tuesday October 5, 2021 as several interventions on the University Campus environment and rehabilitation of many deteriorating physical facilities will have been completed. Admissions of new students will commence on September 30, 2021 as approved by the JAMB Policy meeting of August 31, 2021.
Staff and Students will be required to observe strictly all COVID-19 protocol. In this respect, staff and students are expected to return with adequate face masks, face shields and hand sanitizers. Management will ensure provision of adequate water stations to encourage hand hygiene as well as social (physical) distancing in all University activities.
Management assures the Government and good people of Imo State and indeed all Nigerians of her deep commitment to grow KO Mbadiwe University to be a World-Class University and consequently solicits the support of all stakeholders to achieve her overriding objective of training our children for self-actualization and for the task of nation building.
Signed,
Management
