The Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ogboko, Ideato North Local Government Area, Imo State, commenced its staff recruitment interview on Wednesday, the 30th day of March 2022. The exercise which is expected to last for two weeks is taking place at the campus of the university.

The interview which is for the recruitment of various cadres of teaching staff, has over four hundred (400) shortlisted candidates interviewed for the rank of Assistant Lecturer and Lecturer II. Candidates with doctorate degrees and professorships will be interviewed in batches ranging from 16 to 30. The exercise is meant to boost the staff strength of the university. This is in line with the 3R programme of His Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodinma to create more jobs in the State. 

It may be recalled that the university lacked adequate staff strength until the advent of the performing governor, Sen. Uzodinma. With this exercise, the staff strength of the university will be enhanced to actualize its core mandate which is the delivery of quality education of international standard.

Based on the foregoing, it is apparent that the management of the university ably led by the indefatigable and amiable Vice-Chancellor, Prof Ikechukwu Simplicius Nosike Dozie has set the university on the path to success. With this tempo, It is expected that in no distant time, the institution will be placed on the list of top universities both in Nigeria and abroad.
