The National Universities Commission (NUC) has accredited eleven (11) academic programmes  at the Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU). The University scored a 100% in the programmes presented for accreditation. Eight (8) of the programmes were granted full status, while the remaining three (3) were granted interim status.

3. Psychology - Full

4. Sociology - Interim

This great feat  was achieved with the massive support of the University Visitor, His Excellency, Sen. Hope Odidika Uzodinma. Who in line with the 3R programme of his administration, has given special attention to the education sector.

In addition, the appointment of Prof Ikechukwu Nosike Simplicius Dozie as Vice-Chancellor has proven to be akin to placing a round peg in a round hole. The Vice-Chancellor ever since he assumed office, with his management team, has placed the University on the path to greatness. It is expected that more academic programmes will be accredited shortly to enable the University to deliver quality education in line with its core mandate. To God be all the glory and honour.
