Summary of Academic Profile:

Dr. Uwaeme, Onyebuchi Remy is a lecturer in the Department of Statistics at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato, Imo State, Nigeria. He is a native of Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area in Imo State.

Dr. Uwaeme obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike in 2012. He also has a Master's degree in Statistics from the University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt in 2018. In 2024, he completed his Ph.D. in Statistics (Distribution Theory) from the University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt, thus, demonstrating his continuous commitment to academic excellence and specialization in his field. 

Dr. Uwaeme has a growing and interesting academic and research profile. He has attended and presented papers at several national and international conferences. He has also taken part in continuous education workshops and currently serves as a reviewer for some leading statistical journals. Furthermore, Dr. Uwaeme has published extensively with over 15 publications in reputable journals, covering topics such as ecological management, risk assessments, probability and statistics, distribution modeling, time series analysis, and statistical applications. Finally, Dr. Uwaeme is proficient in statistical software like Power BI, SPSS, STATA, DesignXpert, and Tableau, among others. He also has strong programming skills in R and Python programming languages.

In addition to his academic career, Dr. Uwaeme is an active member of professional statistical bodies such as the Nigerian Statistical Association (NSA), Professional Statisticians Society of Nigeria (PSSN), and the Institute of Operational Research & Management Science of Nigeria (IORMS). Dr. Uwaeme is recognized for his contributions to the area of distribution theory and applied statistics. He is also an active member of Statistics without Borders (SWB), an international online volunteer statistics organization, reflecting his dedication to humanitarian efforts and community service.

In addition to his professional memberships, academic and research roles, Dr. Uwaeme serves as a member of the university's Results Development Team at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University. His contributions and efforts in the team helps in ensuring the timely and seamless processing of results.

Hobbies

In his leisure time, Dr. Uwaeme likes to read, particularly literature on statistical methods, current affairs, and the Bible. He also enjoys Chess, Ludo, and Scrabble, which he finds to be a great way to relax and reflect. Additionally, he is passionate about mentoring students.
