Dr. Anyanwu, Benedict Chinonye currently serves as Lecturer II in the Department of Chemistry at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University Ideato, Imo State, Nigeria. He hails from Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.

Dr. Anyanwu, Benedict Chinonye earned his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemistry with Second Class Honors Upper Division from the prestigious Abia State University, Uturu, Nigeria in 2001. He continued his academic pursuits at the same institution, obtaining a Master's degree in Environmental Chemistry in 2009. Further expanding his expertise, Dr. Anyanwu completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Education with Upper Credit from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Nigeria in 2012. He culminated his academic journey with a Doctorate in Organic Chemistry from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Nigeria.

In his Ph.D thesis, Dr. Anyanwu, Benedict Chinonye focused on the Isolation and Characterization of bioactive compounds from a tropical medicinal plant. His research led to the successful Isolation and Characterization of four novel bioactive compounds and their subsequent bioactivity evaluation. Currently, Dr. Anyanwu is dedicated to Isolating and Characterizing additional bioactive compounds with the aim of developing treatments for life-threatening diseases such as tuberculosis and cancer. He is also engaged in the organic synthesis of these compounds to further advance their therapeutic potential. Dr. Anyanwu has published many articles in academic journals. 

Dr. Anyanwu, Benedict Chinonye is a member of the Teachers' Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and a certified member of Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Abia State Chapter. He has served as the course coordinator for General Chemistry (CHM 101). He remains committed to the university and is open to taking on future responsibilities. 

Dr. Anyanwu, Benedict Chinonye was the best performing student in West African School Certificate Examination in his School. He distinguished himself during his Master's degree program by achieving the best performance among his colleagues in the Department of Chemistry. His exceptional performance continued into his Doctorate Studies, where he demonstrated outstanding academic excellence.

Dr. Anyanwu Benedict Chinonye has been a dedicated motivator and mentor to the youths in his community. He is also actively involved in humanitarian services, providing support to the less privileged and contributing to the growth of the local church in his own residence. He derives great satisfaction from imparting knowledge and runs a YouTube Channel dedicated to teaching students at all levels. On his channel, he explains the fundamental concepts and explores the intricacies of science.

In his leisure, Dr. Anyanwu, Benedict Chinonye enjoys listening to good music and reading captivating stories. He stays fit by jogging every morning, plays table tennis, has a passion for traveling and has a good sense of humour.
